Ayurveda, a system of natural medicine as old as Yoga, teaches us how to use what Nature provides to live in harmony with ourselves, others and the environment. The application varies by season, individual constitution, stage of life, time of day, degree of health vs. dis-ease, and so on.
The Kapha dosha is prevalent in winter, and is out of balance during conditions like the common cold, respiratory issues, excess weight, fluid retention, depression and lethargy.
In this 90 minute discussion, after a brief recap on what the doshas are, you will learn ways to thrive during Winter using the tools that Nature provides, including food, herbs, lifestyle habits, and specific pranayama and asana. You might be surprised how much it all makes sense based on what you have already experienced in life!
