Bring a friend or ride solo! Partner yoga generally refers to pairing up with another body to perform yoga poses. The theme and intensity for each style of partner yoga can vary greatly. The primary goal of this beginner partner yoga workshop is to let go and have fun! The secondary goal is to create body awareness by using a partner to facilitate movement and stretch, which, in turn, can help foster better communication with yourself and others. By communicating our strengths and limitations (working with injuries) we can use the leverage of another person to become more aware of the poses we are in and move past our normal range of motion (in some cases). Participants will be guided through a warmup sequence before partner poses are demonstrated and offered. Everyone will be encouraged to go at his or her own pace and modifications will be given for individual comfort levels. Please wear comfortable clothing.
